EPPM1013 Digital Business Week 1 Topic 1:Understanding and Application of The Concepts of Digital Business Introduction

Hello everyone, this week I will start learning digital business. At first, I thought this course would only briefly introduce some aspects of online business, but to my surprise, I found that many key points in this course can be related to our actual study and life. This is simply wonderful! Now, please follow my lead and I will share with you some of my observations and experiences about small things in life after learning this course.

Regarding Topic 1: Understanding of Key Concepts in Digital Business Introduction——The Digital transformation of ZUS

This Monday, when I was at ZUS Coffee and was about to place an order at the ordering counter, I accidentally discovered that they have their own app. It enables a fully online ordering system and even offers brand-related merchandise for sale, such as disposable plastic cups and insulated cups. They also regularly send out coupons, and the accumulated online ordering amount can be exchanged for corresponding value vouchers. Customers can place orders and make payments through the ZUS app by stacking coupons, and the entire process does not require any intervention from the staff at all.

I specifically chose a time when the store was not very busy and chatted with the staff. They told me that since adopting this system, the ordering rate has decreased by 70%. Employees can now focus more on making and packaging drinks, significantly reducing the spillage rate of drinks. The store almost never receives related negative reviews anymore. They also collect customer preference data through the system for new product development.


And I also focused some elderly customers were still not very accustomed to this digital operation. The store has retained one staff member to assist them. So sweet!

Business application: This aligns perfectly with the digitalization of customer experience mentioned in topic 1. This lightweight digital transformation is very suitable for small and medium-sized catering enterprises. Although the cost is low, the efficiency improvement is significant.
